It is finally Friday. As August melts away, it brings us closer to the new school year. Carson High returning students are invited to the Senator Kick-off this morning to get their fill of back-to-school updates.
Heading into the middle of the work week and the final three of January, the capital city can expect a slight cool down weather wise with some sunshine and clouds. Events Wednesday include art showings, music, Salsa dancing at Yaple s Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women and more.
Leaders from Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey counties, known as the Quad-Counties, continue to coordinate closely with Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS), the local health authority for the Quad-Counties, to monitor and respond to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
Food and restaurant inspections are made weekly by the Carson City Health and Human Services Environmental Health Division. The 10 inspections listed here were made through Sept. 15, 2014. Inspections include several school cafeterias, a bakery, caterer, a church, the Carson City Senior Center, a bar and lounge and a retail food producer.
