FREWSBURG The Carroll Town Board took an administrative step toward the creation of a new employee position.
Last week the board approved a resolution to submit a new position duties statement to the county for the newly created code enforcement assistant.
Russell Payne, Carroll supervisor, said, according to state law, the board needed to approve the resolution to create the civil service position.
“We have submitted the paperwork to do that and that is where we are at,” he said. “Once we get the go-ahead from the civil service, then we will fill the position with an available candidate.”
