Together with their team member, two BC sisters leverage their service experience to win a national real estate case competition

In high school, sisters Eva and Catherine (CeeCee) Van Pelt spent their free time volunteering in a home for Alzheimer’s patients, creating connections with residents and discovering the lasting benefits of service. Little did they know that their experience socializing with older adults would later help them and their team win $5,000 in a national affordable housing case competition at Boston College.

Financial Times, which conducts the closely watched annual survey, placed the Carroll School at No. 26 in its findings for 2021. The rankings fluctuate from year to year, owing to an array of factors, including exactly when the research papers are published. In recent years, the Carroll School has climbed as high as 13th in these global tabulations. Its average ranking over the past five years is No. 19.
