The Carroll County state’s attorney’s race will be decided in the primary election in July, with two Republicans and no Democrats vying for the position.
All of the Carroll County-specific bills introduced by the county delegation to the Maryland General Assembly passed during the 2022 session which adjourned earlier this week. Two statewide bills proposed by Del. Haven Shoemaker, a Republican representing Carroll County, did not.
Maryland lawmakers unanimously approved legislation Thursday to suspend the state's gas tax for 30 days, with a final vote expected soon to send the measure to Gov. Larry Hogan who supports it.
