Chula Vista police arrested three people on suspicion of stealing $60,000 worth of property from a home days after at least two of the suspects allegedly robbed a teenage boy.
Two 18-year-old men were booked Friday into jail on charges of residential burglary and robbery, while a woman, also 18, was booked on a residential burglary charge.
Chula Vista police Lt. Dan Peak said the arrests were made possible thanks to a resident who tipped the Police Department Friday after noticing a suspicious vehicle parked outside of a home that same day.
The incident was reported on Yanonali Ave near Carpinteria Street, where the person reported seeing several individuals breaking into a home.
