Richmond Mavericks through to the semi-final of the North Riding Saturday Challenge Cup

RICHMOND MAVERICKS are through to the semi-final of the North Riding Saturday Challenge Cup after beating Tockwith on penalties.
It capped a busy week for Mavs whose game against Richmond Town Reserves last Wednesday was abandoned after their player Ryan Howe dislocated his elbow.
The game against Tockwith finished 3-3 after normal time. Sam Pickersgill put the Richmond team ahead from the spot before the visitors pulled one back from a free kick. Pickersgill got his second before the visitors hit back again against the run of play. The striker then got his third from the spot only for Tockwith to level with second to go. Mavs keeper Ethan Lansdell was the hero in the shootout, saving the visitors fifth penalty to secure the win. ....
