The Macquarie University Rank-and-File Committee held a forum to urge all staff to vote No on union-management enterprise agreements at the university, and to link up with the struggle at the University of Melbourne.
Union officials and branch representatives created confusion in order to push through a motion to accept a rotten “in-principle” enterprise agreement with management.
The union opposed a procedural motion by a member of the Macquarie University Rank-and-File Committee to delay any vote until the union released the agreement’s full details and allowed at least seven days for members to examine and discuss the document.
