The grassroots effort was spearheaded by resident George Brain, who formed The Gleneagle Community Foundation and worked with other community members, local businesses and ultimately received a grant from the city itself. Husband and wife artists Don Frazier and Caroline Sumpter were chosen to create the piece. Their work is seen throughout the city of Arlington, including the city welcome sign. ....
