Social workers back standalone supervision orders, despite questioning their effectiveness
Study finds vast majority of professionals favour maintaining the option of standalone supervision orders, but identifies wide regional variation in their use and perceived value in safeguarding children

Only 18% of local authority children’s social care professionals think standalone supervision orders should be scrapped as an option in care proceedings, a survey has found.
However, participants in the research by the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory highlighted issues with the orders, and differences in how they were used and perceived in different parts of England and Wales.
Half of all professionals who thought supervision orders should remain wanted legislation and guidance to change, primarily to give the orders more “teeth”. ....

The new 4G calling will enable GoMo customers to switch between WiFi calling at home and 4G calling on the move.
GoMo plans to roll out the new services to all existing customers by the end of the summer.
GoMo s marketing lead Caroline Lynch said in a statement: “4G calling means a faster call connection, twice the speed of 3G calls, as well as improved call quality for our customers.
A major benefit for new GoMo customers is that 4G calling makes multitasking possible, so during a call users can send emails, browse social media and watch videos, without disruption, using their mobile data. ....

The no-frills service offers a SIM-only option and with no shops or other physical presence, GoMo offers its customer services over the internet
Eir s SIM-only mobile service GoMo has increased its for life offer from €12.99 a month to €14.99 a month for new customers.
When it first launched, GoMo s offer started at €9.99 and then increased to €12.99. 
GoMo has more than 250,000 customers and these customers will see no price change. 
The no-frills service offers a SIM-only option and with no shops or other physical presence, it offers its customer services over the internet.
