Charter schools as Public Schools. I am deeply invested as a School Board Member in the entire Bay View Community and what is happening in all of our schools. Over the last several years we made deep investments in our schools that are in bay view in particular. We have focus a lot of energy and resources in providing support to africanamerican students and the incrementals. There has been some progress made. Absolutely not enough. I think we see that over and over again across the country, and i feel like i am in a place where my commitment to the investment that we have made in the bay view schools is critical. I need to stick to that commitment that we have made and the resources that we are pouring into the schools to ensure that our students and their families and the teachers that are committed to those students and families in the bay view are well supported.
