UK gov "hasn't invested a single pound" to adults below the digital divide

The focus of the digital divide has mainly been on children since going into a third lockdown. So far, the government has provided over 500,000 devices to schools, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson stating on Wednesday that a further 50,000 devices have already been sent this week.

This, the organisations said, meant they were fertile breeding grounds for some of the very best startups and SMEs in the sector .

Why is Oliver Dowden 'coming to the theatre one week and watching us close the next'?

Musical SIX has been forced to stop its run at the Lyric Theatre

London’s abrupt move into Tier 3, meaning that theatres have had to close their shows with very little notice, has decimated a slowly recovering sector. Producer Kenny Wax had just reopened his musical, SIX, at the Lyric Theatre in the West End – only to get the terrible news that it must shut again.
“We’d heard fragments of gossip over the weekend, from those in the industry in touch with the DCMS, that it might possibly be our last show this Friday, following a tier change,” recalls Wax. “But it came as a big shock on Monday that it could happen so quickly.” Last night was SIX’s final outing – for now, at least. ....
