Mayville man dies in workplace accident

Josh Topham died from injuries he sustained while working at a residence in Caro May 17.
Caro Police Chief Brian Newcomb said Topham, 39, was a volunteer Mayville firefighter and the owner of a seamless gutter company and was working with his crew when he got tangled up and fell. Newcomb estimated Topham s fall was more than 30 feet.
Newcomb said Caro Police Department was assisted on scene by Caro Fire Department, Tuscola County Sheriff s Office and MMR.
Newcomb said emergency personnel provided lifesaving measures and attempted to airlift Topham to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries. ....
