Jackie R. Moss, 62, of the 1700 block of Muny Vista Drive, Alton, was charged with unlawful presence in a school zone by a child sex offender, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on Jan. 13 Moss allegedly was located near East Elementary School, 1035 Washington Ave. The school is approximately 3 miles from his home. According to the Illinois State Police sex offender registry, Moss has convictions for aggravated criminal sexual abuse and failure to report a change of address/employment. The site notes he is considered a sexual predator, and that the victim was 16 and he was 46 at the time of the incident. ....
