This is where a Monterey County sheriffs deputy has been shot serving an eviction notice. There is a shelter in place. This is the area of sun and east market streets, if you know that area. You can see right there a Large Police Presence there. And they have been shut down. That area and that situation has been unfolding and we have been following this throughout the morning. The mayor of salinas confirms the deputy was shot multiple times inside a residence. Law enforcement responded to reports of gunshots. That suspect currently still barricaded inside of a home.
