Otero Junior College president Timothy Alvarez has been named to the Southeast Regional Council of the El Pomar Partnerships Program.
I am humbled and honored to support the El Pomar Foundation, Alvarez said. The purpose of the foundation to enhance, encourage, and promote the current and future well-being of the people of Colorado really resonates with me. I am delighted to play a positive role in being a voice for our rural communities.
Alvarez has been selected to a three-year term on the Southeast Council, which currently is comprised of 11 members.
According to its website, the Council has focused on funneling its efforts into emergent needs especially to the communities who have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the past year. ....
