Police searching for suspects in string of jewelry store robberies Police are looking for two suspects involved in a smash and grab at four jewelry stores. and last updated 2020-12-30 22:20:49-05 SAN DIEGO (KGTV) Police believe that the same two suspects committed four robberies at San Diego, La Mesa, and Carlsbad jewelry stores. The first robbery happened around 6:25 p.m. on October 18 at Kay Jewelers at 1640 Camino Del Rio North in Mission Valley. According to police, the suspects smashed two display cases and stole several gold necklaces. On November 16 at 6:46 p.m., police believe the same two suspects robbed Daniel s Jewelers located at 8240 Mira Mesa Blvd. in the Mira Mesa neighborhood. According to police, one suspect acted as a lookout while the other suspect smashed a glass display case with a hammer and stole several gold chains.
