Speaking on the theme: “Sustainable Housing Supply with Alternative Building Technologies”, the President of GhIE said, government has no business building houses. Instead, government’s role is to provide the necessary policy and right institutional framework, provide easy access to affordable lands, financing, building materials and basic infrastructure.

The President/CEO added that Africans have always argued that Africa’s contribution to the current climate change catastrophe is insignificant compared to the West “that is true, however, what we fail to appreciate is that the problem was significantly created by the West but the solution lies in the hands of Africa and this is another 21st century industrial revolution for Africa to take advantage of”.
