The head of Baker McKenzie’s restructuring and insolvency practice has become the first female president of a pre-eminent industry body concerned with promoting the benefits of turnaround.
Baker McKenzie’s Maria O Brien has taken on the additional role as president of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Australia chapter.
The TMA, which was established in 1988, holds almost 10,000 members in 54 chapters across the globe.
Ms O Brien’s new status sees her become the first female president of the TMA. She brings an impressive résumé to the position, having built up an extensive practice in restructuring and insolvency matters.
