Three IPs surrender firearms to Kiblawan authorities Philippine Information Agency 04 Jun 2021, 18:38 GMT+10 DAVAO CITY, June 3 (PIA) - Three members of the Blaan tribe in Kiblawan town, Davao del Sur, have surrendered to authorities on Tuesday (June 1) along with loose firearms. The surrenderees, who were allegedly involved in the pangayaw or tribal wars in the past, voluntarily submitted themselves to Kiblawan Mayor Carl Jason Rama and to Kiblawan PNP Chief PMaj. Rodante Varona. They handed over two (2) homemade shotguns and M1 Garand rifle with two (2) live ammos to Varona. Rama extended cash assistance in exchange for the surrendered firearms and to support the needs of their families. ....

The officials of Barangay Bagumbayan in the municipality of Malalag have received on Monday (May 3), financial assistance worth P300,000.00. The assistance is intended to be used as incentives for the barangay frontline workers and functionaries, and for the purchase of medicines. Another P300,000-worth of cash assistance has been extended to Barangay Langa-an in Matanao town, for the purchase of food supplies for the barangay s frontliners. ....
