Local Athletes To Compete After 14 Months In Limbo

LOCAL track and field athletes have something to smile about as the Saint Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) has been granted permission by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar-George to host its first event in 14 months. 
The event will take place Sunday, 2 May, 2021at the George Odlum Stadium (GOS) at 10.30 a.m.
Local Athletes To Compete After 14 Months In Limbo
The last event held by the SLAA was the National Junior track and field championship dubbed ‘Carifta Trials’ in March 2020.
The SLAA Public Relations Officer, Makeba Alcide said, “Sunday’s event is a scale down one and only athletes 16 years and over will compete in the following events. High Jump and Long Jump boys/ girls, 100 metres, 400 meters and 1500 metres boys / girls”. ....
