The storm that moved off the East Coast on Thursday morning intensified overnight, generating 50-foot-plus seas along with 45-knot winds aimed at the region. Islands in the Western Caribbean like Puerto Rico will start out Saturday morning with overhead to double-overhead surf, building to triple-overhead by midday with an even more energetic pulse of swell mixing in over the afternoon hours. The surf will be very consistent with standout breaks pushing 20-foot-plus faces.
