@an alias - You are right about labour. But Anne Tolley is former National. (A former MP and therefore, close friend of Labour).
If Anne Tolley was just to steady the ship. It would be going down a pathway to destruction. That’s where they were headed. Cost cutting first and foremost. Rates increases we discuss later. No rates increases before cutting the budget to essential core services only.

That the Council are trying to DRIVE SMALL BUSINESS OUT OF Tauranga. When RATES go up by 22 percent, the landlords will just pass it on to their tenants!! OH and when the leases come up for renewal, the tenants will walk away !! The landlords will be left with properties that they cannot lease out !! RESULT, eventually the value of the properties will FALL and the rates will do likewise !!
