Creatives from the Biden-Harris campaign shared their experience conducting an online presidential campaign during the South by Southwest 2021 conference session “Politics x Design: How the Biden-Harris Creative Team Won the Election” on Tuesday.
Robyn Kanner, former senior creative adviser to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, talked to The Daily Texan about her design process.
The Daily Texan: How did you use your personal strengths to create unique creative content for the Biden-Harris campaign?
Robyn Kanner: I grew up hanging out with friends who were musicians, and I played guitar. I grew up in the woods in Maine. There wasn t much to do but play music, so I did that a lot. Wide Eye creates dynamic and architectural White House logo
Creative agency Wide Eye has redesigned the White House logo to symbolise US president Joe Biden s desire to bring the country together after Donald Trump.
The updated design is a slightly more detailed and architectural version of the flat logo introduced during the Trump administration. Following the tradition and the legacy of past White House brands, we depicted the north facade, symbolising that the White House is the People s House and accessible, Wide Eye told Dezeen. This is symbolic of the president s desire to bring the country together: conveying a sense of openness, warmth, inclusion, and humanity.
President-elect Joe Biden Dec. 28 announced its digital team for the forthcoming administration, naming Aisha Shah among the group.
The digital team will be in charge of reaching Americans through online platforms once his administration takes office.
The White House digital operation will be composed of 12 Democratic operatives who have experience in roles on Bidenâs presidential campaign, transition team or the inaugural committee, according to a news release.
Brendan Cohen, who worked as the deputy director of editorial on Bidenâs presidential campaign, will serve as platform manager. Rob Flaherty, who currently serves as digital director for Bidenâs transition team, will continue the same role in the White House.
