SANDAKAN: Three crewmen of a tugboat are missing after their vessel “Ever Winner” sank in choppy waters off Kuala Kinabatangan Besar, near here, early Wednesday.

(pic), said the incident happened around 4am, but the MMEA Sandakan Zone only received information of the incident at 4.20pm on Wednesday.
“‘Ever Winner’ was operated by four crew members, including its captain.
It is understood that the tugboat had been towing a barge called ‘Ever Eternity’ (which also sank) with one crew member, from Kinabatangan to Sandakan, and is said to have battled bad weather before the boat’s transport company noticed it was missing.
