because we won t have a flying shutting fleet anymore, you re saying that it is the human capital, the knowledge, i guess, of pressing the space envelope that is really one of the big concerns here. that s exactly correct. we re going to lose all that by trying to go some other direction and trying to, you know, go out to commercial aspects to do something that we already have in hand. and, you know, what s going to happen is that we re going to be a third rate nation. china and russia are going to be premier. the space station will be essentially abandoned to the russians who will inherit it, and if we want to go up there for reach astronaut on our side to go it ll cost us $60 plus billion to go to a house that was built by uncle sam. jon: wow. commander jim lovell, the commander of that famous apollo 13 flight. commander, it s good to talk to you.
