The abducted student of Kings School, otherwise known as Capro Secondary Mission School located at Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State has regained freedom, the military authorities have confirmed.
Gunmen had in the early hours of April 29 kidnapped the students in Capro, which is few kilometres away from the Yakubu Gowon airport and about 60 kilometres from Jos, the state capital.
However, three of the students escaped while one remained in captivity.
But in a statement issued yesterday, the spokesman of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ibrahim Shittu, said troops rescued the remaining student in captivity on Saturday.

University of Jos authorities on Friday ordered the immediate closure of all hostels on its premises.
The decision was reached after the Manangment held a meeting with the University’s Dean of Students Affairs, Chief Security Officer, President, Students Union Government (SUG), Speaker of Parliament and External Security Agencies.
The meeting, which was held on Friday, deliberated on a Security Report regarding security threat to the University Staff, Students and properties.
“As a result of this, soft targets like the Hostels are in great danger,” a statement signed by University spokesman, Abdullahi Abdullahi, said.
“In the light of the above, the Hostels are to be closed with immediate effect.

Four students of Capro Secondary Mission School located at Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State were abducted in the early hours of yesterday.
This came as Zamfara State government on Wednesday, asked residents to defend themselves against bandit attacks but with a proviso not to break the law.
However, three of the students managed to escape following the prompt response of security agents while the bandits took one away.

A global mission leader and President Para-Mallam Peace Foundation, Reverend Gideon Para-Mallam confirmed to Channels TV that the attackers broke the rear fence of the school where a hole was drilled to gain access into the school compound and abducted the students.
