Convicted child molester Eric D. Sims was abused as a child, emotionally and sexually, his mother said at his 1992 sentencing hearing in Shawnee County District Court.
Sims was sexually molested by his grandfather, who slept in the same bed with him for 14 years because of a lack of space in their home, said Montoy Sims, who would die at age 75 in 2008. Sims father had been emotionally abusive to him, she added. ....
