Demolition To Begin At Former Cape Cod Aggregates Site

Demolition work is set to begin soon on the former site of the Cape Cod Aggregates facility off Scenic Highway. Destruction of large boulders on the site will begin the week of May 2, according to company owner Samuel A. Lorusso Jr., and should take several weeks to complete.
Mr. Lorusso informed Bourne town officials in a letter dated April 26, of the work that will be undertaken. Cape Cod Aggregates recently ended operations at the Scenic Highway site. The company is pursuing a sale of the property to a solar farm developer, Mr. Lorusso said. The project is in the final stages of permitting, he said, and construction is expected to begin later this year. ....
