Bits & Pieces
Pink Martini
It figures that much of the New Year s Eve celebrations will be online, and Oregon Public Broadcasting and Pink Martini have teamed up to put on the Good Riddance 2020 streaming concert.
The hourlong concert will air at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31 on OPB-TV.
It was filmed at band leader Thomas Lauderdale s downtown loft ( world headquarters ) that includes a 35-foot Christmas tree and will feature new and old holiday classics and Pink Martini songs, with Lauderdale anchoring the concert at the piano and lead singer China Forbes at the microphone. There are appearances by Storm Large, Ari Shapiro, Edna Vazquez, Jimmie Herrod, Sofia von Trapp and Cantor Ida Rae Cahana.
