The 1.1 km stretch is a part of the 21.26 km (Reach 6) Metro line connecting Kalena Agrahara and Nagawara. The line is expected to be commissioned by March 2025, according to Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
It’s been observed that in some places the gratings are breaking off thanks to flawed design. The residents highlighted such instances near Cantonment Railway Station and at Shivananda Circle.
Incidents of reluctant buffaloes falling on the ground trying to break free were also seen. While a buffalo was seen dropping to the ground at the start, the animal was whacked with sticks to force it back on its feet.
