CANTON The village of Canton is hosting an online Zoom presentation regarding a community choice aggregation program which would allow local residents to choose where the electricity they consume is being produced.
“The village is considering the idea of Community Choice Aggregation, with the goal of having more say in where our electrical energy comes from, and ultimately saving money and lessening our carbon footprint,” said Village Trustee Klaus Proemm.
At the village’s April 6 Canton Sustainability Committee meeting an CCA info presentation will be offered at 5 p.m. by Jeff Domanski, Hudson Valley Energy, and Jennifer Perry, ANCA/NYSERDA.

Malden is advancing plans to create a new waterfront park within its public works yard to help protect the city against flooding, extreme heat, and other future effects of climate change.
