Canterbury residents showed grit Saturday morning at their Town Meeting, which was postponed in March because of COVID and held near a ball field outside the town’s elementary school.
More than 100 citizens sat in folding chairs under a wind-whipped Three-Ring Circus-sized tent as papers blew through the air and microphones occasionally quit working.

The rare occasions where we did, their response time has always been impressive. A good example was Feb. 16, with all the trees bending down from the weight of the ice from the freezing rain. It looked like this would be a long outage but instead the power was restored in an hour. Thanks, Unitil, for the great job you’re doing. ....

The
Concord Monitor, then located on North State Street at the corner of Pleasant, was no exception.
Just off the hall by the newsroom was the office of Tom Gerber, an older (i.e. a few decades senior to me) avuncular sort of fellow, who served as the paper’s editor. His door was usually open, so I could pitch to him my ideas for a column. ....

Letter: Remembering Grace

Many thanks to Ray Duckler and the Monitor for a well-written, heart-wrenching story about Grace Orzechowski’s courageous fight for life. Our daughter had the privilege of working with Grace for two years at Arnie’s. As stated by Grace’s employer,. ....
