Dear Esteemed Ivy League Presidents and Athletic Directors,
First and foremost, we wanted to thank you for your support of Ivy League athletics, a first-class experience for which we are grateful every day. Furthermore, students and student-athletes have greatly benefited from the leadership and hard work across universities and schools nationwide.
We wanted to provide you with our perspective on the spring and our possibility of having competition, as well as provide some information that is perhaps not as obvious when looking at the situation. We know you are all in a very difficult position at the moment, as you care about everyone’s health and safety primarily, and you also understand how much we value our ability to compete. We also know that athletics do not provide necessary and meaningful revenue for the conference, unlike in other conferences.
