The energy supply will be generated by the Hollandske Kust Noord wind farm, which is being constructed off the coast of the Netherlands by the two energy companies. Starting in 2024, Amazon will off-take 380 megawatts of capacity from Hollandske Kust Noord.
Eneco will provide 130 megawatts while Shell will provide 250 megawatts, Shell said in a statement. Hollandse Kust Noord will have a total capacity of 759 megawatts and is scheduled to generate at least 3.3 terawatt hours per year, starting in 2023, according to Eneco.
