Man dies following Newtownbutler house fire Posted: 3:13 pm April 30, 2021 By Jodie Curran A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service Spokesperson told the Herald:    “The thoughts and sympathies of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) are with the family and friends of a man who died following a fire in a house in Camphill Park, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh.   “On Wednesday 28 April 2021 at 3.56am, Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a house on Camphill Park, Newtownbutler. 2 Fire Appliances from Lisnaskea Fire Station and 1 from Enniskillen Fire Station attended the incident.   “A male casualty was rescued from the house by Firefighters, who then provided him with medical care. The casualty was taken to hospital for treatment, but tragically he died while in hospital.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed the incident and said: Police can confirm that a 74-year-old man has died following a fire at a property in the Camphill Park area of Newtownbutler on Wednesday, April 28. At this stage, the fire is not being treated as suspicious. On Wednesday at 3.56am, Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a house on Camphill Park, Newtownbutler. Two Fire Appliances from Lisnaskea Fire Station and one from Enniskillen Fire Station attended the incident.
