Next year, going into a mid-term, people might not know this but congress essentially shuts down. it will largely be a do-nothing year so members have time campaign. so those in the middle in the bulk of the competitive congressional seats will have time, will be protected from making controversy votes. so next year, congress essentially shuts down. and then moving into 23 and his own re-election in 2024, there won t be a lot of activity if joe biden does not control both halves of congress. so the next three months are critical. he has to pass an infrastructure bill. but i think that he has done enough, child tax credit, ending the war in afghanistan. he s done enough to campaign on. but these three months are critical. he has to produce. next year will be a shutdown year. i think could you definitely argue it s a little early for all this angst and hand wringing ....
