Diaries. In those during the late thirties when Klaus Fuchs was there he was always showing up in some little piece of paper i had from the boards. He was showing up is a nice person. He was taking their children out to the movies. He played cards with them. He was in there a little ensemble that they had at their house. And people like him. He was very quite anti. He was a nice person. All of a sudden he was a spy. They were dumbfounded. And i came into this information because i did not know much about him when i was first working on it. So at that point as i was writing about it, i was like, i should find out more about fuchs, an interesting person to put in the book. I went into the archives in london. And there were three little skimpy files. The very last when i looked at had a letter, a memo in it, from somebody in the administration saying where my supposed to do with all of these fuchs files, his trial . The person who received said throw them away. When i saw this i thought,

Some wheat and some oats from time to time and as a 12 and 13 year old boy, i was plowing that mule and the garden and in the cornfields and so on so i have before i surely before i flew supersonic jets. I was on the south end of a northbound mule. So it was a unique experience you think about plowing mules and people have been doing plowing oxen for thousands of years and there i was in doing that and then flying the super sonic jet shortly thereafter. Its a very unique time in history. I love being outdoors. And when i was to back up a little bit when i was five, my parents took me and my brother one, brother. Down to athens, georgia to the Veterans Park and there on pedestal they had a static airplane from World War ii as they often do in Veterans Parks, and it was a World War ii fighter airplane, and i climbed up on that airplane and it was like, okay. I grew up on a farm in athens, georgia. This was growing up in the 50s, i was born in 1943, so growing up in the 50s, my grandfather had been a farmer, we lived with him or he lived with us. My grandmother died and we kind of took care of my grandfather. He was winding down on his farming days, but we had mules. He had a pair of mules when i was real young. Eventually he sold off the pair of mules and we had one mule that we used for gardening and we had a full acre of garden, so there was always a lot of work to do there. Then we did some farming ourselves, so we grew corn and some hay and some wheat and some oats from time to time.
