Faster Horses Festival tragedy: 4 dead, 2 critical in two incidents

WOODSTOCK TWP. – Three young men are dead and two others are in critical condition after they reportedly suffered carbon monoxide poisoning at a campground during the Faster Horses Festival.
It is the second incident involving death linked to the festival. The Michigan State Police are investigating an incident where a 30-year-old woman was found dead Saturday morning.
In the other incident that was first reported around 1:30 p.m., emergency medical responders and deputies with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a campground at the corner of US-12 and Brooklyn Highway and found five males in their early 20s inside the travel trailer, all unresponsive.

UPS driver discovers man frozen to death in front of his Michigan home

CAMBRIDGE TWP. The body of an 80-year-old man was found frozen in front of his house Wednesday by a UPS employee.
Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received a call at about 6:15 p.m. from the UPS employee about a person in the roadway outside his residence in the 400 block of Knapp Road in Cambridge Township and dispatched emergency personnel, according to Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Larry Rothman.
State police troopers arrived at the scene and found Richard Theodore Kokochak lying in a curved driveway close to his car.
