COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Calvin Thurkauf on waivers for the purpose of loan to EV Zug in Switzerland s top professional league (NLA) for the remainder of the 2020-21 season, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Thurkauf, 23, who signed a one-year National Hockey League/American Hockey League contract extension with the Blue Jackets on October 27, has collected three goals and an assist for four points with 26 penalty minutes and a +6 plus/minus rating in 19 appearances with EV Zug (NLA) in 2020-21. He made his NHL debut with Columbus on Feb. 22, 2020 at Nashville and skated in three contests with the club in 2019-20.
