CHETWYND, B.C – Northern Health announced two of the new doctors headed to Chetwynd.
Dr. Alvin Silva and Dr. Abdelhamid Khalefa begin orientation on March 1st and will be in the community for at least three years. Northern Health made the announcement in a Facebook post Monday.
“There is strong evidence that health care improves with the attachment of patients to a single provider working in a team environment. The goal of the Chetwynd clinic is to attach patients to providers and ensure that ongoing, long-term care is prioritized,” says the release.
Last week, Northern Health informed residents that three new doctors would start in March while saying goodbye to Dr. Al-Bayatti.
