Crews tried to use a break in the weather Thursday to prepare ahead of the next storm system, which is forecast to be strongest Saturday, bringing rain and high winds in the valley and whiteout conditions in the mountains.
Incoming systems are expected to bring continued rain, wind and the potential for power outages and flooding into the region through the end of the week, according to meteorologists with the National Weather Service.
