Redondo Beach Mayor Bill Brand will face three challengers in the March 2 city election. The election will also see Redondo Beach residents voting to fill three council seats, the city attorney’s position and three vacant seats on the Redondo Beach Unified School District Board of Education. Unlike neighboring cities, Redondo did not align its upcoming election date with the general elections.
Mayor Brand, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, will face Chris Voisey, a chief technology officer and community volunteer; Michael Ian Sachs, a retired Chevron employee who ran for mayor in 2017; and Shayne Hartman, a proposal analyst from Northrop Grumman.
