um, it probably went 30 miles per hour. wow. and and what did you witness when that happened in terms of it hitting people you said that there were families there, there s children there, what did you see? a lot of a lot of families members with small children were running trying to get off that main street. you also saw a lot of people running out to help those that were hit. you know, right just right in front of me, in the little spot where i was sitting, probably four people were down. so there were a lot of people that ran to to go check on them and i i believe that the four people in front of me were still breathing but they were down, they were not moving. and so, from what you saw, there were a lot of injured people. you don t know, um, if any have been killed because this is still no. okay. um, it sounds like it was just pure mayhem. a lot of people were just there for a good time to get back into the holiday season. and i think a lot of ....
thanksgiving. five people killed. more than 40 injured when an suv barrels through a christmas parade in waukesha, wisconsin. a marching band was on the street when a vehicle came up from behind. dozens of victims are in the hospital. witnesses describe the horror of seeing people struck and lying on the ground after the suv drove through a series of barricades and plowed into the crowded parade route on the town s main street. next thing i heard were screams and turned my head and saw the car come and plow into the band that was just past my balcony at that point. it hit at least two people right away, rolled over both of them and then continued down the road to by like people s park which is at the end of the block and then kept going. it didn t stop. from another angle watch the suv streak past missing that child in the pink pants by inches. they say priest, parishioners and catholic school children were among those injured. the waukesha school district canceli ....

they censured paul gosar. this week we expect a giant fda decision on whether to okay covid boosters for all adults. we begin, though, on january 6 and the accountability question. just seconds ago, a judge sentencing jacob chansley to 41 months in prison. the judge called his actions, quote, terrible. you made yourself an epitome of the riot. chansley spoke directly to the judge for more than 30 minutes. he insisted he s a good man who broke the law, not a domestic terrorist, not an insurrectionist. this is a big sentencing. reporter: it s very significant, john. and the reason it s so significant is 41 months is the very same sentence that judge lamberth handed down to a capitol rioter just last week. that rioter punched a police officer, a violent crime. jacob chansley is not convicted of a violent crime, but the judge still believes that his acts are comparable with a violent act. so as we look at the grand scheme of all of these riot defendants, 660 defendant ....
that s good news. it s at least sort of simplifying news in terms of the rules and formal government advice about vaccinations. that news comes on the same day, we ve learned, that pfizer is going to the fda to get approval for its new antiviral pill. this is not a vaccine, this is a pill you take as a treatment for covid. merck has one of these antiviral pills, pfizer has one of them, too. the merck clinical results looked really good in terms of people being kept alive, getting out of the hospital if they could get that drug soon after being diagnosed with covid. the merck results were good, but the pfizer clinical trial results looked even better. the pfizer clinical trial results showed nearly 90% efficacy at keeping people out of the hospital and alive if they could get this drug, this new pfizer antiviral drug, again, that you take as a pill soon after contracting covid. again, pfizer has just put in to the fda to have that treatment authorized for use in the unit ....
