Vanderbilt Student Government and Generation Action for Planned Parenthood installed a new vending machine offering contraceptive materials in Branscomb Quad. The machine was installed near the Munchie Mart on April 25 and began operations on April 30. Efforts to implement the new vending machine were led by seniors Caleb Boyer and Caroline Rutigliano, VSG Campus.
The joint program between VSG’s Campus Services committee, Vanderbilt Friends of MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and Vanderbilt United Against Inequities in Disease builds upon existing efforts by Swipes for a Cause, another student-run initiative.
Bobby Gene Robinson was born on May 3, 1939, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Elmer J. and Cora I. (Skinner) Robinson. The eighth of nine children, in 1940, he moved with his family to Kaw City, Oklahoma. Shortly thereafter they moved to Newkirk, Oklahoma where he and his brothers and sisters made friends and a multitude of memories. He received his education, graduating from Newkirk High School in 1957. On July 27th, 1957, he and Wanda Dea Enninga were married in Fort Smith, Arkansas where Bobby was serving in the U.S. Army.
