Many are in mourning right now, following the passing of the honourable Thomas R. Berger, who left this world last week at the age of 88 years old.
Thomas was an attorney, who was well known for his representation of the Nisga’a Nation during the monumental Calder Case that eventually lead to recognition of Aboriginal rights and title.
Tonight, we honour the legacy Berger left behind with help from Nisga’a Lisims Government President, Eva Clayton, who will tell us more about his impact on the community, and country as a whole. ....
