Locals having a great time at the beach were surprised when a small plane crashed into the Descargador Beach near Cala Reona at around 11:30 in the morning, May 8.
Paul Lowry, 66, died instantly when his plane crashed into the sea off the west coast of Spain after he hit a freak bank of thick marine fog that caused him to lose control of the aircraft.
The 66-year-old was killed instantly after his plane plunged into the water soon after he took off from a small airdrome in Murcia in south-east Spain called Aeroclub Totana.
