Sun Journal Systemic racism is one of a myriad of issues an emerging social justice group plans to tackle in New Bern and Eastern North Carolina. Creating and Sustaining Equity of New Bern – CASE – is the result of summer discussions by Craven Community College sociology teacher Caitlin Trombley, her husband Robert and five young professional women in town - Kelly Rogers, Bailey Evans, Niki Potter, JoAnna Wishon, and Heather Guthrie.
