NOTE: Two corrections were made April 1 to this original story that published in the March 31 newspaper. There are three candidates listed for the Renick Board of Education to fill three open seats for a 3-year term each, and
not two open seats as previously reported. Therefore this will be a non-election item for Renick voters. Also, There are no persons that filed for office on the Village of
Jacksonville Board of Trustees, and therefore this will be a write-in election for Jacksonville, and not for Cairo s Board. There were two openings for Cairo s Board of Trustees and only two persons filed, therefore there will not be an election for this ballot issue.
