The suspicious item that led to the evacuation of a Walmart in Inver Grove Heights was not an explosive device, the Inver Grove Police Department said Tuesday night. 
Police responded to the store at 9100 block of Cahill Avenue at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a suspicious item in the business and evacuated shoppers and workers from the store out of an abundance of caution, a news release said.
The St. Paul Police Department s bomb squad responded and determined the item wasn t an explosive device and it disposed of the device, police said.  ....
