Bend Police are investigating a robbery that happened early Tuesday at Ashley's Cafe North in Wagner Mall. According to police: On December 28th at 2:02am, Officers with the Bend Police Department responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred at 1900 NE 3rd Street #100. Officers arrived after the suspect had fled the area. Officers learned that the suspect purported to have a weapon during the robbery. An undisclosed amount of currency was taken during the robbery. Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputy Johnson along with his K9 partner Quattro, and the Redmond Police Department responded and assisted in the attempt to locate the suspect. The suspect has not been located at this time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
